How to get started?

Whether you’re testing the waters without an account or ready to fully activate your network, there’s a level for everyone. Each step offers increasing connection power directly within your Clay tables.

The Swarm – Data API Example

Crawl (No Swarm Account Needed)

  • On Clay, search "The Swarm" enrichments: Find intro paths to companies (broader for more results) or Find intro paths to people (more precise but less results).
  • Enter your company domain. Companies over 50 employees yield better results. We'll map the network of employees automatically.
  • First-time mapping may take a few hours, then run your enrichments and find intro paths!

Walk (Add More Connectors)

  • Expand your network and unlock more intro paths, while saving on Clay credits.
  • Create a Swarm account (14 days free).
  • Add more "Passive Connectors" beyond employees such as happy customers, investors, advisors, or partners ($99/mo for 250 connectors or $299/mo for 1,000 connectors).
  • Bring your own Swarm API key on Clay. Learn how here.

Run (Fully Activate Your Network)

  • On your Swarm account, invite "Active Connectors" to connect their LinkedIn (via CSV or extension) and email/calendar, optionally.
  • Sometimes, you don't want your connectors to have to sign up and create a Swarm account. So you can also upload the LinkedIn CSV files of passive connectors, or let them upload it without creating a Swarm account.
